Occupational therapy is a dynamic process. It has been described as the art and science of enabling engagement in everyday living, through occupation. Occupations are everything that people do to look after themselves and others, enjoy life and contribute to the social and economic fabric of their communities. Occupational therapists seek to enable individuals to perform occupations that foster health and well-being. This can take place in your home, workplace, school or in the community. Occupational therapists believe that our quality of life is based upon being able to participate in our valued occupations.

Claudia Walker and Associates was established in Victoria, B.C. in 2014. We are a small but dynamic team that focuses on providing clients with high quality, individual service. Our aim is to support people to achieve their goals by overcoming life’s obstacles.

  • We've worked with Claudia on a variety of projects with great results. Our collaboration allows us to cater a project to our mutual client needs. She brings a very professional and compassionate approach to client care, and is the first step in any aging in place or accessibility renovation that we engage in. I would recommend her services to any client or contractor. She has been a very valuable resource for us and our clients.

  • Claudia Walker met with my client and prepared an excellent report on the client’s future care needs as well as the present cost of that care. Her report was easy to read, thorough, well-supported and very practical. This made it easy to present the report to the client and to defence counsel, and I would have been confident presenting it to the court had we not settled the case. Ms. Walker will be my expert of choice going forward for cost of future care reports.

  • Claudia Walker’s professional knowledge, attention to detail, and thorough assessment, helped me evaluate and instigate strategies that made my daily activities much easier to manage. Her reports also assisted me in arriving at a favourable outcome with my insurer. I very much enjoyed Claudia's pleasant demeanour, and her ability to put me at ease. I highly recommend her.

  • Preparing catastrophic personal injury cases requires assistance from many specialists. The ability to identify and cost long-term care needs is central to any such claim. Claudia has assisted us in many matters. I found her to be committed but prepared to make concessions where appropriate – the hallmark of a presentable expert witness.

  • The assistance of Claudia Walker in providing evidence of the needs of injured persons has been an integral part of my practice for many years. Her reports are clear and concise which is what is required for court proceedings, and superior to other OT reports I have seen. I am very happy to endorse Claudia's work.
